Dodgers @ Astros, 7/28

And even if you just tag the runner, it’s one less runner and only need 1 more out to get out of the inning.

Trying to do too much.

Or even just throw out Muncy.

Fine.

But at some point parades had to step up and he didn’t.

Shit inning

It’s like Dusty has thrown in the towel on this season.

Exactly. At the absolute minimum. Get. A. Fucking. Out.

Oh I agree it’s been a shit inning. And about to get shittier

I know I’m watching the same game. My first thought was maldando should have caught the ball.

And yeah the double play would have been preferred

Here we go, Scrubb facing Taylor with the bases loaded and no outs curve ball low and out, ball 1. Fastball not close, ball 2. Misses even worse, ball 3. This is fucking awful. Fuck you Marquez, fastball at the bottom of the knees called a ball.

5-2 Dodgers

The Dodgers are loaded and we got a Scrubb to face them.

This is a dick stepping convention out there

Thank goodness.

The Astros bullpen is going to be a major problem this season.

Good thing Framber was dealing.

Seager takes a curve for strike 1. Swings through a curve, 0-2. Bounces a curve. Curve nicks the top of the zone, but called a ball. Marquez has been stingy as fuck with the corners. Fastball grounder to Altuve 4-6-3 double play mercifully ends the inning.

Dodgers score 5 runs in the 5th on about 150 singles.

Mid 5
5-2 Dodgers

I’ll do the bottom of the 5th then it’s time to walk the dog

Dusty, with a super thin bullpen today, panic pulled Framber.

I get that he wasn’t great, but going to two guys with zero big league experience against the Dodgers with the bases loaded seems… really fucking stupid to me.

The Rays are huge believers in never letting non ace types face a lineup a 3rd time and our new gm is from the Rays. Think that has as much to do with it as anything

Astros chasing 3 after an absolute shitburger of an inning will face Brusdar Graterol. 21 year old with some serious nasty. He’ll face Tucker who takes a 100 mph fastball outside. Ever further outside, 2-0. Tucker, who I guess didn’t get the memo the Astros need baserunners wildly swings at a fastball outside and misses. Fouls off a fastball, 2-2 now. Yanks a slider in to the upper tank about a mile foul. Fouls back a fastball. Fastball a foot outside, did he go? Yes he did. What a fucking miserable at bat from Tucker.

1 out.

McTaggart mentioned on Twitter Scrubb is the 5th Astros pitcher to make their MLB debut in 5 games.

Well, the life went out of this team
