Just returned from a birthday dinner, featuring filet mignon (medium rare, of course), Brussels sprouts, and potatoes au gratin. Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, 2019 was the vino. Now enjoying my celebratory cigar and Kelt XO. And an Astros win.

I’m nowhere near the oenophile that some of you goobersmooches seem to be, but Alexander Valley is easily my favorite US American zone for the red grape juice.
Barossa Valley outside the US and A with Casablanca Valley, Chile, for reds and whites a fairly distant but very solid second.
