Not just any FBI building. An FBI building where the FBI doesnât want it. Why put it in downtown Washington? Maybe because itâs right next to Trumpâs hotel.
Itâs deeper than that. The FBI was all-set to move out to a purpose-built campus outside of Washington. State of the art facilities, cheaper location and more space, plus it was just more convenient for everyone.
Then Trump got elected and killed the new building, forcing the FBI to come up with a whole new plan to stay and renovate the existing structure. Why? Because the location of the current building was due to be sold to a developer who was going to build aâŚdrumroll pleaseâŚluxury hotel and conference center. Yep! Right next to the Trump emolument.
I drove through eastern Tennessee yesterday. I know that the only things you need to protect you from COVID 19 are multiple tattoos and multiple firearms.

Yeah, and doctors also. I cringed when the the wacko âDoctorâ praised by Trump turns out to be from Houston. Apparently, this state doesnât have high standards for licensing Doctors.

Have you heard that Gohmert insisted on telling his staff about his positive test in person? Yep. He called a meeting, including calling back some people who were heading home, so that he could breathe virus all over them in an enclosed space.

On one hand, these people, of their own free will, work for the single dumbest member of congress, so as far as they are concerned as individuals, my sympathies are limited. On the other, although they most likely do not, I do recognize that we exist in a society and that there is a high level of interdependence for all manner of things among its members. These idiots are going to circulate through their communities, maskless, when possible, and they are going to infect who knows how many responsible citizens who are trying to comply with what we believe to be the best possible safety standards. Theyâll probably infect some other maskless covid truthers, too, but the point is, the more idiots act like this, the longer the economic chaos (never mind sickness and death) will go on absent a vaccine. Which these idiots probably wonât take anyway, but thatâs another topic.

Exactly! We are all stuck under an ongoing and worsening first wave of the pandemic (while the rest of the world is past it and some are starting to get the expected second wave) because of idiots like this who wonât allow the infection rate to drop.
If/when thereâs a vaccine, things will be a lot easier. Maskless, anti-vaxers wonât be able to hurt the rest of us and, over time, the issue will become moot: they will catch it and either die or become immune.
