Coronavirus survivors banned from joining the military
As the Defense Department negotiates its way through the coronavirus pandemic and its fallout, military entrance processing stations are working with new guidance when it comes to bringing COVID-19 survivors into the services.
A past COVID-19 diagnosis is a no-go for processing, according to a recently released MEPCOM memo circulating on Twitter.
The memo is authentic, Pentagon spokeswoman Jessica Maxwell confirmed to Military Times.
What are they not telling us about the long-term effects of this thing?
Sort of runs counter to their âitâs just the fluâ narrative.

Sounds about right. Trump was blathering yesterday about how testing just inflates the case numbers - when he wasnât snapping at a nurse, in the Oval Office, on nurses day, about how sheâs wrong about the lack of PPE.
Trumpâs personal valet has tested positive for COVID-19. The valet was with Trump on his recent trip to Arizona to tour a mask factory where Trump didnât wear a mask.
Reportedly, Trump and Pence have both tested negative for the virus since.
Heâs not even going in to quarantine despite this being his nth known encounter with the virus. His schedule continues unchanged which today includes a meeting with [check notes] Greg Abbott.
I will not say out loud or write what I am thinking, but I am thinking it. Not about Abbott either.

Apparently the guy who tested positive had duties that included bringing Trumpâs meals to him. Trumpâs insists that everyone around him gets tested every day. Must be nice.

Iâm assuming he tested negative one day, left work, caught it and tested positive the next day, or some subsequent day when the infection was enough to be picked up by the test.
Clearly he wasnât symptomatic, which is the whole fucking point about testing, or lack thereof for those of us not in the orbit of President Commodus.
Actually, I heard it reported that he tested positive after showing symptoms. I think they are tested weekly, I know Pence used his weekly test as an excuse for not wearing a mask.
Back at work and just welcomed his first child (by a woman to whom heâs married).
Meanwhile, the pandemic rages on. They have overtaken Italy for the second-highest death toll in the world (I donât need to tell you whoâs #1) and theyâre catching up to Spain for the second-most cases. They are worse at testing per capita than the US.
