Routine cleaning.

Nothing, but I did have someone come do a good deep cleaning of my home (have since realized the dining room light fixture is clear glass) but that was because it was needed and I didn’t want to do it.

I burned red candles and prayed that Tucker Carlson would send Ivermectin to make my home pure.

I was in your neighborhood, and tried to buy a flashlight. There were none available. Know anything about that?

A study from the New England Journal of Medicine investigated how long SARS-CoV-2 would survive on various surfaces, including plastic, stainless steel, copper, and cardboard. The findings suggest that the virus could survive for:

  • 4 hours on copper
  • 24 hours on cardboard
  • 72 hours on plastic and steel

A September 2020 study in The LancetTrusted Source found that when researchers swabbed various surfaces in a major hospital in Italy, only one item of protective equipment tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. They conclude that, as long as people follow standard cleaning procedures, the risk of transmission from surfaces is low.

Why would I need a flashlight when my governor has guaranteed a stable power grid?

I thought you needed it to get light inside your body. Trump Wants to Bring 'Light Inside the Body' to Kill the Coronavirus

MM don’t fool around with no AAA batteries. He put 220 on the money. Taking no chances.

But none of that 230V Euro crap with the goofy plugs and sockets. Good American made 'lectricity.

Nothing will convince you that the human race is too stupid to survive more than air travel. I was stuck in the check-in line behind a dude who was arguing with the clerk (and then security) that he didn’t need a COVID test in order to fly back to the US.

I don’t know where he gets his information, but I have some suspicions…

I hope they tossed his ass in the tower gaol.

Day 20 update. Most obvious symptoms are gone. I still have a nagging cough that is ameliorated well with menthol cough drops. And, I get tired/fatigued earlier in the day each day. Instead of easily staying up to/past 11pm each evening, I start dragging at around 9pm. I started running again at day 14 with interesting results. My aerobic performance is down over 20% and level of exertion is way up even with the performance down. What is typically a moderate workout pace (7:20 min per mile for 5-7 miles) is nearly impossible. The same level of effort produces a 8:40 min per mile, which is typically and easy recovery run for me. Race pace of 6:10 per mile for a 5k would be impossible. I expected that in my first run but now, after 3 runs in 6 days, it is not changing. So, aerobic capacity is way down but so is anaerobic capacity as it takes me 4x longer to recover my heart rate. Really interesting so far. Typically, after a bad cold, I am back to normal after my 2nd or 3rd run after the cold.

Day 20??? Holy cow.

Wow! Das, have you had a follow up with the doctor since the initial positive test? Hoping you get well soon.

My daughter caught it last weekend and has had three pretty uncomfortable days so far: severe headaches, chills, and mucho congestion (probably contributing to the headaches). Today seems better, so we’re hopeful that she’ll be better by the end of the weekend. I sure hope she doesn’t follow the das progression; that doesn’t sound like any fun at all.

Damn, Das.

I lucked out I guess, carried around 8 50lb sacks of feed yesterday and had to take a break to catch my breath in the middle

One of the guys I play floorball with caught COVID last month and still is suffering much like Das is. He hasn’t played a league game since he got sick, and feel winded just from a few minutes of exertion.

Interestingly enough, his twin brother also caught COVID at the same time and was completely asymptomatic and was back to playing within a week of a negative test.

Which twin is the Ozzie and which is the Jose?

They’re Swedes, so probably neither.
