As someone who resides near there, is there a big difference between inland Maine residents and rural NH residents?
I am not directing this at you, but it’s just amazing how we’re relieved that only 1800 people are dying from COVID every day.
Rural Maine inhabitants are a bit like what you would expect remote Alaskans to be like. But with some french inbreeding mixed in. A gutted moose strapped on the hood or people wearing actual animal skins are not surprising to see.
New Hampshire residents are a bit like deep south separatists with a different but equally hackneyed accent and dialect. When you are in some of the small towns, you get the same, “yer not from 'round here, boy?” side-eye vibe.
You get that here: “You are not from around here, are you?”
Well, folks, I tested positive yesterday. This is like a heavy cold or the flu so far.
Damn! After all this time. Well, you’re fully vaxxed so you’ll be OK. I hope it’s not too bad until then. There are some anti-virals available now, if you get to feeling worse.
Get well soon!
Sorry to hear that.
Get well soon.
I don’t know if monoclonal antibody treatments are available now.
They weren’t when I tested positive last month.
I am sick but so far nothing worse than a bad cold or the flu.
That sucks, man. Glad to hear you’re not feeling too poorly.
Damn. Sorry to hear that. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
That sucks, I hope this is as bad as it gets for you
I’m a little afraid that with Austin going back to stage 2 just before spring break and SXSW, we may be fanning the embers. I guess time will tell.
Hang in there, Jim. Hopefully that’s all you’re gonna experience.
I hope it doesn’t get worse. You have done all you could to prevent it being bad.
That sucks, Jim. Darn. Do you know where you picked it up? I’m always curious so I can try to learn how better to avoid.
I’m assuming he picked it up from the Texas Tech fans at the Erwin Center a couple of weeks ago.
That would make it a slow onset of symptoms, but the Lubbock Variant is slow just like everything else from there.
It still caught a Longhorn.
Sure, while stationary.
Hope you’re enjoying the UT baseball game this evening, Jim. Get better soon.
Instead of spike proteins, this has tortillas.
Oh, hell no. I have no clue. I have been going to my usual outdoor beer places and to a couple of basketball games. I started feeling like I was catching a cold Thursday night and had full-blown cold/flu symptoms Friday. I have been living pretty normally, wearing a mask sometimes but not always. I went to an indoor play a week or so ago, but masks and proof of vaccination were required.
