I love Mad Max as much as the next guy, I guess, but perhaps it’s time to remind him that he was not on the '95 Championship roster…he quit during the first round of the playoffs against Utah that year.
I file that under “quiet, he’s on roll.”
Cross referenced to “all’s well that ends well.”
Fuck the Jazz.
COVID has come down with Sarah Palin.
I have to admit, the “coattails/hillbilly” comment is worth the price of admission.
From the judge in her NYT defamation case: “Ms. Palin is, of course, unvaccinated”
Almost Zero chance that is actually Max running that Twitter account
He’s confirmed it as legit, I check it now and then strictly for the Utah shittalking
The first Fed-provided at-home test kits started arriving at peoples homes via USPS in multiple states today. Confirmed by two family members in California.
My free Covid tests were delivered today.
I have not received notice that they’ve shipped yet.
Why would you receive notice that Jim’s tests shipped?

Why would you receive notice that Jim’s tests shipped?
You don’t receive notice of all of Jim’s shipments?
I’m behind on my site dues.
Y’all need to remind me I have a shipment coming. Porch pirates in this neighborhood follow the delivery trucks.

I’m a mild mannered sort.
But thieves really piss me off.
So, it’s not just me. I’m not a fan of vandals either. But I really hate the murder rapists.

But I really hate the murder rapists.
Those guys really tick me off!

Those guys really tick me off!
Guys? Aren’t you making some inappropriate assumptions?

I’m a mild mannered sort. But thieves really piss me off.
As many of you know, I am pretty mild mannered myself. And, thieves have always bothered me as well. /begin pointless story/ When I was in my late teens and early twenties, I had various and sundry wheels, radios, speakers and such stolen from various cars. Maybe 4 or 5 times over a 8-10 year period. So, one night, after working very late at work and walking out to my car parked at an outside lot in DC, I go to unlock the drivers side door and there sits some dude in the passenger seat with the radio halfway out and rummaging through the glovebox. I opened the door, reached in and grabbed him by the shirt with my left hand and, full of adrenaline and in one fell swoop, pulled him through the car, up over my head and slammed him to the ground. I cocked back with my right and was about to take out 10 years of frustration on the guy when his frightened squeals reintroduced humanity into the interaction. His scared, confused look was what it took (and what I needed) to regain my composure and process the event that was happening in singularity. I growled at him to stay on the ground and called a friend that was on duty at MPD and they sent a cruiser over. Sure enough, the guy was a serial petty thief out making his nightly rounds and some sort of “justice”, as it were, awaited him. Which was far superior to the regret I would have felt if I had pummeled him.
Since then, through being a long time foster parent, working with police departments and other mission/ministry-focused things, I have seen parts of the underbelly of society and learned some things. Some people steal because they suck. Some people steal because they have legitimate needs that they can’t figure out how to meet otherwise. Some steal because it easy and they are selfish. And, some steal because it’s what they were taught, it’s all they see and it’s all they’ve ever known. I’ve had to refactor how I mentally process those that steal. I still don’t like it but I’ve also come to terms that grouping everyone that steals or has stolen in one category is short-sighted and unidimensional. Which life nor people are. /end pointless story/
Not pointless at all.
Thanks for sharing that.
I don’t know that I would have shown the same restraint you did, but I hope I would.
