But I think what happens is, it’s going to go away. This is going to go away.
Yes, this was about COVID-19 and, no, you’re not going crazy.
At the same small business event (ironically, the phrase that Stormy Daniels uses to describe her tryst with Trump), he also repeated the claim that Ivanka has created more than 15 million jobs. If you’re trying to figure the math, 15 million is 10% of the entire US workforce. Thanks Ivanka!
Let’s not forget about the vice-moron who visited the Mayo clinic and refused to comply with its’ policy requiring everyone in the facility to wear a mask at all times.
His explanation: “Since I don’t have the coronavirus, I thought it’d be a good opportunity for me to be here, to be able to speak to these researchers these incredible healthcare personnel and look them in the eye and say thank you.”
Putting aside the atrocious leadership of flaunting the policy’s of one of the nation’s most prestigious medical facilities for what? Vanity? Comfort? The explanation itself is remarkably stupid. The mask he was supposed to wear doesn’t cover his eyes or muffle his voice or in any way prevent him from looking anyone in the eye and saying thank you.
Trump today apparently also said “very good experts” were telling him the virus would not affect the US or Europe or any nation but China. He did not identify the “very good experts.”
I suppose I’m naive, but I’d like to think that it would convince some of the folks who voted for Trump that he really is a charlatan who is in power because of their votes, and they won’t make the same mistake again.
This would mean having to admit they were wrong, and that’s not going to happen any time soon. They are pot-committed at this point, no turning back now.
Order given. No requirements to change work practices that have turned these meat-packing plants into virus-packing plants. Iowa’s Gov (R) has said that anyone not showing up for work will be deemed to be quitting voluntarily, and so be ineligible for unemployment assistance. No word on whether any of these workers - or their families - are getting any health insurance.
When Trump started with his “MAGA” shit, I thought he was referring back to the 1950s. Now it’s clear he meant the 1850s.
There’s an OSHA lawsuit in there somewhere about unsafe working conditions and lack of appropriate personal protective equipment. One of our resident lawyers may can chime in.
