That damn call got them back in the game. Cunningham should play smarter. The block on Askew’s inbounds pass and the 3 made it “oh no” time. Those breakaways were badly needed.
I think the refs overreacted on that, but didn’t want things to get out of hand. I would just called it a two-shot foul, but like it or not, #30 has a rep now.
When I was at Rice, UT had a 10-point possession at our joint. Krivacs and Moore were the guards, and I don’t remember the specifics, but it was something like a 3-point play with two two-shot techs, followed by possession which yielded another 3-point play. As you might imagine, it kind of changed the complexion of the game.
I remember that 10-point play! I was listening on the radio.
That LSU kid got way up in the air to block that layup!

Some upsets brewing this afternoon.
So far, the Big XII contingent is standing strong. Iowa State leads LSU at the half. Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech, and Kansas have already won their first round games.
TCU plays Seton Hall this evening. Colgate vs Wisconsin is the other late game.
I think it’s wonderful a dormitory and a dental college can field basketball teams good enough to make the NCAA. Only in America!

Iowa State beats LSU to be the fifth Big XII team to advance. TCU has a nine point lead at the half. If the 'Frogs can hold the lead, it will be a Big XII first round sweep.

SEC only went 3-3 with the Kentucky debacle and two #6 seeds losing (Bama and LSU).

It’s curfew time at the dorm as TCU TCB vs Seton Hall.
The Big XII goes 6-0 in the first round.
Tomorrow: Baylor goes up against North Carolina and Kansas plays Creighton. The other four Big XII teams play Sunday.
