College Football 2023

Bowl games count too (along with defensive and special teams scores).

As a side note - I didn’t realize how short Josh Snead (guy behind these and wearing the SEC shirt) was until I saw this tweet of a picture of him and Coke Cublic, whose roster height at Auburn was 6’3”.

No idea what to expect out of Ohio State-Penn State and don’t really care but I hope it’s a fun game.

I expect a bunch of homer calls for Ohio State so that the Big 10 can preserve their “battle of unbeatens” between Ohio State and Michigan.

The Penn State QB is underwhelming.

Perfect old-school Big10 team: great defense, great running game, bad QB and WRs

Speaking of which, the O/U for Iowa - Minnesota is 30.5, the lowest in 20 years.

Wouldn’t PSU - Michigan do the same?

That’s awesome

Good news for UT fans, I used up all my sports mojo for 24hours with that Altuve homer. No chance UH wins now. It’s gonna be a beat down, Dana s awful. Might be a special teams TD early, outside of that I’m guessing something along the lines of 45-17.

Not the same cachet.

Hell of a goal line stand by PSU

Joel Klatt had a good line for those that have seen Ted Lasso, talking about Marvin Harrison Jr “he’s like Roy Kent, he’s everywhere”

Is Penn State going to play Iowa? That O/U might go lower. This Penn State offense is completely impotent.

Somehow, and I’m betting the Iowa offense had a lot to do with it, PSU won 31-0

ETA after checking boxscore: Iowa had 4 first downs and 4 turnovers in that game (76 yards of offense)

In other fun scores, final: Mississippi State 7 @ Arkansas 3

I was certainly wrong about how ready Penn States offense would be for these games this year. I think Allar will get there but not yet

UCF-OU is interesting

Halfback pass on a 2-point conversion to tie the game in the final minute+ is a very curious call

What an idiotic call for the two-point conversion by UCF.

The field is so compressed down there that there’s no way you’re going to get behind anybody, which is really the only way those plays usually work.
