College Football 2023

Kansas State leads Texas Tech 17-14 at the half.

ND exposing USC for the frauds they are.

He had open space and when down with minimal contact. What makes you think it was fake? It was first down, they had plenty of time to spike the ball. I saw nothing that made me think it was an act.

The issue I had with O was the decision at the end of the half to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking a field goal. That was a poor choice. Lanning said “we are playing to win” well, that caused you to lose.

The fact he grabbed one leg then the other.

In searching for the clip I came across this from last year’s game:

I don’t care how good your offense is, they are going to have a bad game sometimes and your defense has to be able to step up. A Lincoln Riley program has a ceiling, until he decides that defense matters, they’ll never win the big games. Going into the Big Ten next year, USC’s ceiling is going to be 10 wins.

Arizona 44, Wazzu 6 has to be the most unexpected outcome of the day.

Arizona has been really fucking feisty. Played a close game vs Washington and should have beaten USC last week. The scorebis shocking but I’m not that shocked that they won.

I was at the UA-sc game last weekend at The Coliseum and it was readily apparent sc was getting the important calls in their favor.
My alma mater/the Cats/Gatos got fucking hosed.

I’ll take a drubbing of wazzu this weekend kindly.

Most unsurprising score of the day…

Iowa 15, Wisconsin 6

That’s old school smash mouth football. Either that or complete offensive incompetence.

Both.

Offensive Smash Mouth Football is Iowa’s team motto

According to S&P+, they have the top ranked defense in the country, and the 121st offense.

1 yard and a cloud of dust.

They’ve been that way for years, and it’s mindboggling that they haven’t even tried to fix their offense.

Isn’t there some clause in the OC’s contract this year that if they don’t average a whopping 24 or so points, including defensive and ST scores, he loses his job?

25 points and they have no shot to get there. The OC is Kirk Ferentz son Brian.

Kirk Ferentz is on the record that his favorite game as HC was the 6-4 win over Penn State in 2004.

They have to average 29.9 from here on out to make it. 29.2 if they make the B1G championships, which pathetically, they will.

I think, though I could be wrong, that only the 12 games of the regular season count.

It seems pretty unlikely that it will matter.
