Who knows. I think he started into his shot, saw the guy flying at him, and did not shoot. No player that good leaves his feet on a fake.

It’s tough to get so close and come up short. It’s a paradoxical situation, it was a great season but the way it ended on a fucked up play, one that will go down in infamy and we will be subjected to seeing it replayed for the rest of eternity. It will haunt my dreams, excuse me while I vomit.

He just looked to me like he had no intention of shooting, which is why he just had to put the ball on floor. He went “oh shit”. Someone else can listen to the post game to hear what he says about it.

I agree about the “oh shit” reaction, but I think he jumped to shoot then saw the guy on top of him. He could not come down with the ball (traveling) so he let go of it hoping one of his guys could get to it. He immediately blocked out a Gator. Beats me. I will look for comments tomorrow and watch YouTube highlights. I still nobody that good would leave his feet on a fake.

I’m not saying he left his feet on a fake, I’m saying he left his feet without knowing what was in front of him, and should have faked, taken a dribble to the side, and had an open shot
Someday I’ll look at that play again and see what really happened and the rest of the story

He either: was trying to shoot over a very tall outstretched guy in his face and then thought better of it, or
fucked up a pump fake
In either case you never leave your feet until you have a clean shot/pass

Well, I didn’t sleep last night, and as expected, 4:30 came really early. But, the sun did indeed come up, and last night’s game is now pretty far down on my list of concerns. I’m proud of my school and the great season they had, but man, being a sports fan sure fucks with my goal of a more Stoic philosophy in life. Onward and upward!
