Gonzaga, UConn, and Baylor don’t seem like the typical matchups for #1 seeds in the 2nd round

I like it, a lot. Will Wade was my other idea, before he took the NCSt job
He had a lot of success at Arizona, although never made a Final Four. Great recruiter and has a lot of ties to USA Basketball - i.e. should be set up for success at Texas, especially with those resources. Be prepared for half court offense and very deliberate paced games. Tom Penders he ain’t.
ETA - ironic that what ultimately got him fired at Arizona (allegedly paying recruits) is now completely permisible.
Tough business. Terry seems like a solid basketball guy. I was frequently frustrated by his in game coaching, second half adjustments, and pregame preparation. UT is a job that needs more than a good coach. Just making the tournament isn’t enough. Another Elite 8 might have saved his job. He’s still got a several million coming his way and I’m sure he’ll find another job.
I can see him having success with his next gig at an Okie State/top mid-major-type program.
Best of luck to him.
I’d like to see Baylor beat Duke but I don’t think they don’t have the height.
Omier reminds me a lot of Eduardo Najera. Big, rugged, strong, athletic, Latino. Omier is from Nicaragua and Najera is Mexican.
Duke is TCB so far; 47-30 over Baylor at the half.
Yep, that game escalated quickly
Alabama takes care of St. Mary’s. Colorado State had a nice lead at half against Maryland, but Maryland taking over in the 2H.
Maryland with a buzzer beater to win 72-71
The end of that game was epic.
The last minute was classic March Madness.
Olé Miss up on Iowa State at the half.
Apparently traveling means as little in the NCAA as it does in the NBA
Not to mention carrying the ball.
I see Mark Adams joined back up with Chris Beard. I really thought ISU would play better.
Queen took at least 4 steps before that final shot.
