Never mind, I see the answer is that no Texas team other than Haskins’ UTEP (although I thought it was Texas Western or something) has won a hoops championship.
Glory Road is a good film about UTEPs (nee: Texas Western) all black starting line-up beating Adolf Rupp and his all white Kentucky team and winning the 1966 NCAA Tournament. That victory alone did more to aid integration than anything outside of a bus, school, march, or lunch counter. You should give it a view.

I thought my bracket was done on day two, but I’m pretty sure I’ll win the whole thing if Houston can beat Baylor and then Gonzaga wins it all. Everyone else in contention has Baylor winning today.
Edit: Actually, I guess all it would take is Houston winning today. It’s not like anyone has UCLA winning.

Fuck yea I’m pissed about Beard! One thing you Longhorn fans never have to deal with is losing a successful and beloved coach. It sucks. Especially when that coach was catered to at an embarrassing level.

You’ve been gloating since the Beard announcement. That’s totally fine. It’s what T-Sips do; and, again, it’s college sports! If you can’t gloat about college sports, then you just can’t gloat at all.
If you can’t poke fun at your college rivals and call them funny names, then the terrorists have already won.
I still think Adams is a great choice for a replacement, but I don’t know if he wants it. He has turned down HC jobs elsewhere. Former players that have expressed a preference have all said Adams is the guy.

I do not think taunting and name-calling are ever “fun,” Tex. I try not to do it, and one of my major issues with Aggies is that is seemingly all they do.

I grew up in a very much “sticks and stones” environment, so this sort of thing doesn’t phase me in the least. Especially when it doesn’t come from a malevolent place. I will, however, completely respect your views on the subject.

I think taunting and name-calling opponents is disrespectful to them and to the game. I was taught not to do it and would not allow it on my teams.
Once I was basking but the loser I beat thought I was gloating.
