Shit, Techster damn near tied the game there. Owls need two more outs.
Rice wins 3-2. The Owls have solved their defensive problems of last year as they made some fine plays in the infield and outfield. Tech, who has feasted on lesser pitching thus far, came up against some very good pitching today and produced only a couple of runs.
Next up: TCU vs Michigan
Thanks for the reminder that those games are on; I had forgotten about it. I only saw the last couple of innings, but both the Tech and Rice pitchers looked good. That Tech fellow just missed tying the game by a couple of feet in the 9th.
TCU beats Michigan 6-0. TCU looks every bit as good as their #10 rating.
Next up: #14 Louisville vs #15 Texas A&M.
This Aggie 3rd baseman has an arm like Camaniti’s.
Louisville dominating so far.
Aggie 2B is a Blue Star factory.
Aggies and Red Raiders are scoreless through 3 at MMPUS.
Owls got destroyed in their last two games (Aggies and Horned Frogs). The Friday game gave me some hope, but the last couple of days dashed those hopes.
It didn’t look like the same team. They stopped pitching and playing defense.
Now 1-0 Aggies after 5.
Tech scores two in the bottom of the 6th and now lead 2-1.
Tech walks four in the ninth to let A&M tie the game with two outs.
I want to throw up.
Tech loads the bases with one out in the 9th but can’t push the run across. Free baseball.
Red Raider pitchers can’t find the plate with a map and a lantern.
Tech and A&M go to the 13th tied at 2.
To the 15th.
16th
Tech SS boots two ground balls and gives A&M the lead. Tough lesson in concentration for the Freshman.
Boy, he’s going to hear some Scripture on the ride home.
“Oh, you didn’t like that last one? How 'bout this?”
