College Baseball 2022

Ugh, I’ve got stories about the F-35.

Air Force’s SP is a guy I didn’t know much about until yesterday, will be interesting to see where he goes in next year’s draft:

He seems way too tall to be a catcher.

I was gonna ask who’s the tallest C yall can think of…Mauer was about 6’5" but he didn’t stay behind the plate for too long iirc.

Horns give one back in the 2nd.

Mauer caught for the first 8 or so years. Matt Wieters is tall, and Sal Perez is a pretty big dude too.

B-R says that Mauer and Wieters were both 6’5”. I didn’t realize they were that tall. It says Perez is 6’3”, but he’s probably 3’ wide across the chest, too.

Man, super grab by AF 2B to save a run.

Ben Davis always come to my mind when I think of tall catchers. Listed at 6’4" but I always thought he was an inch or two taller.

Matt Wieters was 6’5”

Yeah, I looked and he was behind the plate longer than I thought.

Also…Pete Hansen needs to get his fucking shit together.

This is not the kind of start UT needed from Hansen.

What the hell are you talking about, Austro? AF is a good team.

AF is definitely a good team: they won here twice already this year, if I remember correctly. But Hansen hasn’t had his usual command.

The last few innings will be a battle of the bullpens.

Air Force pitcher gassed. Bases jacked with nobody out.

Oklahoma destroying the Falwellians 16-3 in the bottom of the 8th.

Yep, he was a bit wild, the HPU was a bit inconsistent, and his defense cost him some pitches. Good stuff though.

This would be a nice time to put some more runs on the board.

I’m assuming this is an appeasing the baseball gods type of thing.

I think they split. AF scored a shit ton of runs both games though. They have a lot of good hitters.

They blew out UT 14-2 then UT scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th to win 12-10 (after AF tied it in the top9).

Two runs over six innings is doing a good job, in my book. This is a playoff game.
