College Baseball 2021

Texas lives to play anoth… well, later today.

Texas vs Mississippi State will be the only game tomorrow, unfortunately.

Damn it, UT is chasing the high fastball again.

Cam WiIliams hit a two-run homer with one out in the second. Now 2-0 UT.

Bulldogs get one back in the bottom of the third, now 2-1 Texas going into the fourth inning.

Welp, it was a fun run until Texas ran out of pitching.

Wow, that was impressive by Quintanilla

Sorry, I meant hitting, not pitching. Fucking pathetic effort at the plate.

Man, Quintanilla has been nails.

MSU walks it off with a run scoring single.

Mississippi State vs Vanderbilt in the finals.

SEC vs SEC.

Big surprise.

Absolute bed shitting by the UT offense for the last 3 innings.

So many called strike 3s.

It just matters more.

UT lost a very winnable game. That one will stay with players and coaches for a long while.

It all added up. They lost a winnable game to end up in the losers bracket. They squandered opportunities to break games open that could have spared their best relievers some use. Pierce made a couple of bad calls on sticking with pitchers.

It takes a lot to go right to win it all.

Yep, but I never thought game 1 was winnable. Their pitchers overpowered us. We did rally in the 9th, but that was too little too late, IMO.

It was winnable, but I thought it was one of their better games, considering the opposing pitchers. Stevens could have used a few breaks as very little was hit hard off him.

A very good year.

Stevens was very disappointing to me. Both games.

This should be emphasized. It’s not “national championship or complete failure” dichotomy.

Tell me who said it was? Saying “great season” is true, but what happened in the game, successes and failures, is fact. Had MSU dominated us, that is time for “great season, fellas,” but in a game like last night, it also is “damn, we should have won that game.”

I think they’re just saying it as a platitude, not to call anyone out.
