This is why Hocutt (Tech A.D.) signed Tim Tadlock to an effectively life time contract about a week ago. Aggies were sniffing around and Kirby put a stop to that.

Here is the schedule for the NCAA Super Regionals starting Friday with four games from Bracket 1:

Vanderbilt vs East Carolina at 11:00 AM CDT
Texas Tech vs Stanford at 2:00 PM CDT
North Carolina State vs Arkansas at 5:00 PM CDT
Ole Miss vs Arizona at at 8:00 PM CDT

Bracket 2 will start Saturday:

Virginia vs Dallas Baptist at 11:00 AM CDT
Mississippi State vs Notre Dame at 1:00 PM CDT
Tennessee vs LSU at 6:00 PM CDT
Texas vs South Florida at 8:00 PM CDT

I don’t see the times for the second games in the series on the NCAA site. When I see them, I’ll post.

Very nice pitcher’s duel in Nashville b/t Kumar Rocker and Gavin Williams: 1 R, 6 H, 23 K combined in the middle of the 7th.

Vandy got the only run of the game earlier on a bunt single, 2B, FC.

It’s a nice change from the football scores we saw during the regionals.

Vandy gets an insurance run without hitting the ball out of the infield: chopper to the right, pitcher beats batter to 1B but drops the throw; PB; Sac bunt; FC to the infield that the runner barely beats home (ruled out, reversed on replay).

If the NCAA is going to use so much replay, they need to improve the quality of their high speed video and the number of cameras. I see a lot of “could be” overturned but very few “definitely should be” overturned. I don’t think Vandy should get that second run. I couldn’t tell for certain that his hand was on the plate, and Blue was right on he spot with a perfect view of the play.
