I have always wanted to be a Yankee, except when they drafted me and I had a chance to fulfill that lifelong fantasy of being a Yankee, but turned it down to chase the most money, which is totally unlike what I am doing now.

I am not reading any of the People Magazine-type stuff about Cole and his “finally-realized dream” of being a Yankee. I will just get angry all over again and think about how winnable WS G1 was.
My thoughts drift back to the WS too.
Many wasted opportunities turned into a giant one.
Doubt seriously I’ll ever get completely over it. I can talk any listener into boredom about how that Series got away in Houston.
