CFB 2022

I hope we have some WRs almost ready to play, and LB was dreadful without Overshown there. But Ewers looked very good, and Brooks will be fine at RB. I did not understand why they kept treating K Robinson like a RB1.

This mystified me also.

If Worthy continues to create drama with hints about the portal, I’ll help him pack. That TD he dropped would have helped.

Scuttlebutt is Whittington is coming back. UT will be ok at WR with or without Worthy.

He and Ewers have less than zero chemistry.

Was this in reference to the first down UW got a couple of plays before their last TD? I think they gave them the first down but then spotted the ball behind the original first down mark. Our section was wondering if we were going crazy. The announcer said they had gotten a first down, but the chains didn’t reset and the down marker on the sideline showed 4th down.

It was in the first half - it did get overturned on review.

Chemistry? WTH are you talking about. It does not take “chemistry,” whatever that is, to catch a ball thrown right to him.

I’m saying that on routes, and in their interactions that I can observe, they’re never on the same page.

Were they OL? That is where the problem was in the first half. They got a little better in the 2nd half, but not using Brooks more mystifies me.

I used to think this, but over time, I’ve concluded that the lack of chemistry is Worthy’s inability to adjust to deep throws. Whether it’s something physical like eyesight, or effort or some other explanation, their lack of chemistry is more that Worthy is lousy at tracking and coming down with deep throws.

All in all, I was pleased with the season. Out of all the range of scenarios, they were well better than the average scenario. The defense looks to be in steady hands, Ewers progressed and recruiting/development are on the rise. I could nitpick on this or that, but the big picture is positive.

Agree, and last night’s game was meaningless except for the extra practice time. The NCAA has made all of the bowl games meaningless except for the CFP. Good trips for the players (Austin to SA not so much) and maybe great gifts, but the 6 win eligibility and the large number of bowls make most of them ho-hum affairs players opt out from.

I still do not know what you mean. Bad routes? I do not know what routes were called or if the WR has options. Poor throws? I do not know what Ewers sees or what his progressions are. If the WR has options, could be Worthy and Ewers see the option differently. Dunno.

I am not saying you are wrong. I am saying I do not understand “chemistry” in this context.

DTA: I do understand “not on the same page” in this context.

Yes, not on the same page is what I mean.

If they could ever get on the same page and see eye to eye, maybe they could develop some chemistry and really gel as a unit. The first step is to not drop catchable passes.

Got it!

Pitt defense packed it in just a bit early.

And Pitt comes back! What a finish!

Does Narduzzi get Tony the Tiger dumped over his head?

TCU dodged a bullet on Michigan’s first possession.

What a great read and play by the TCU DB. Go Frogs!

TCU is a fun team to watch. Pretty easy to root for them at this point.
