It’s just hard to believe that a Mike Leach team would come into a big game and shit the bed.
Kansas State leads TCU 28-17 at the half.
Good thing they got rid of Sumlin.
As much as I try, I cannot get mad at UT tonight. 3-0 ALCS.
If you told me the final score, I’d be like “ok, makes sense. That’s a good football team and you’re on the road.”
The manner of the game, is what pisses me off. It’s the same shit as last year. I fully believe that this team HAS made progress from last year but I guess it just shows that this program still has a ways to go before they are where they should be. I’m not abandoning Sark or saying that Ewers is a flash. It’s just disappointing because I thought that they had gotten past it. I need to remember that this is a process. It isn’t going to be flip a switch and it’s 02-09 again. I get way to emotionally invested.
I know what Texas could be, what Texas should be, and it’s unfair to expect it right now. This is year 2, not year 5 like in Aggy land. I need to give the current staff the time to fix the mess from previous regimes and to build something that can last.
The problem yesterday was lack of execution by the offense, primarily Ewers. He missed an open Worthy for a TD more than once. The offense simply must help the defense with drives. Ewers could not hit the water from a boat most of the game. The only thing I’ll say about the officiating is 14 penalties for UT and NONE for OSU.
Before the season, Longhorn fans hoped for 9-3 or maybe 8-4. That still is attainable.
Quite a second half comeback by the Froggies.
That last interception should have been caught for a big gain (and maybe a TD) so it was not all on the QB.
The 29 minutes and 30 seconds before that, on the other hand, was mostly on him.
The first pass in ages that hit someone in the hands, he didn’t know how to react.
Someone switchws Ewers’ arm setting from Juggs machine for punt catching practice back to QB1.
Penn State turning into a pumpkin.
TCU holds off West Virginia 41-31 in a close game that TCU only took control of with a touchdown at about twenty seconds to go. Oklahoma beats Iowa State 27-13, mainly because Iowa State threw about a hundred interceptions.
The defense held on as long as they could against the best offense in the country. Ohio States DE was unbelievable
After the game, Ohio State’s #79 (who I imagine is an OT) went over to shake Franklin’s hand. I don’t think Franklin is a small guy, but #79 just dwarfed him. We’re talking Andre the Giant next to Billy Crystal type stuff.
Kansas state is obliterating Okie state
And KSU is using their backup QB
Now 35-0 KSU at the half.
Man, I picked wrong on that one.
Wow! Fire Gundy!
