Yeah, it’s clearly hampered him since then. It’s probably about ready to fall off. I’m surprised that his doctors let him out of the house.
The only defense of the Giants I see there is they may have been concerned not in the next few years, but in say 10 years. The contract took him until he was 41, and perhaps they were told “it will be fine for the next five years, but it will get worse and be an issue in 10”. But yeah, likely cold feet.
A decision that they will look back on with fondness and relief as the years roll by.

To be fair, it’s easy to reflect when the stadium is empty and there are no fans to take care of.

No rush to judgment here. I am not a doctor and have not seen the x-rays. You may not need evidence for your decisions, but I kinda do. I am enjoying Cohen’s problems with his doctors, however.
An article I read said Cohen’s has verbalized enough damage to warrant some issues, which perhaps is journalistic potstiot-stirring. Cohen has billions to soften the blow, but Correa comes out as damaged goods if the late season foul off the leg is truly the cause
I know nothing about Correa’s fouls, along with a million other things I don’t know. If his foul ball aggravated or revived his bad leg injury in the minors, I can understand the concern.
