The fans were grateful for the netting…
So bad.
NYY always gets the benefit.
More idiocy.
Tiger hbp, then Abreu hbp.
So naturally he takes his base, tries to take 2nd on a pitch in the dirt and slides hard into 2nd and pops up glaring at the SS (or 2B).
The usual then ensues with benches emptying, TLR wandering around looking for his keys (the barkeep hid them) and Abreu is ‘held back’.
If you want to be an idiot, the guy who hit you is on the mound.
In other White Sox-related news, their defense is barely on the good side of godawful.
Here’s to the A’s and Mariners playing 18 innings tonight and reducing their bullpens to pink slime…
Just need the A’s to take that series, hopefully 2-1.
Thanks for nothing. Oakland.
The bright side: if the Astros and Mariners end up tied, Game 163 will be in Houston. That would not have been the case with Oakland. Of course, the Astros have to win another game to secure at least a tie, so, there’s still a cloud to be overcome. In short, the Astros need to go 2-5 in their next seven to ensure the Postseason.
As long as we win, I do not mind having to play hard until the end.
I don’t mind either. I just don’t want the pucker factor to enter the equation. And I’d prefer they not blow a 7-game lead in the last week of the season.
The As’ pausing their collapse for three games is mystifying. They did everything right against our best.
“That’s baseball” - Craig Biggio
Yup.
Let’s see what some home cooking and a good night’s rest will do…
The A’s could very well be eliminated from the Wild Card too before this weekend series. I expect they will do everything in their power to put the screws to the Astros, if they can. Someone mentioned the other day about worries of teams not going all out once eliminated. I’m pretty sure that won’t be the case, not matter what.
Jeez, St Louis won again. What is that, 17 in a row? Reminds me of Cleveland in 2018, with 22 (?) in a row to end the season. Of course, that didn’t help them much against the Astros.
FIFY
Holy crap.
