Apparently the coaches channel is very informative. 3 or 4 coaches analyzing the game in real time.
TBS also had some announcer-less feeds for the bball tourney iirc.
No, I get that. And of course they weren’t going to miss a chance for revenue, I just have a particular and venomous loathing of all the commercial bullshit, and the movie was so intentionally about separating the game from the demands of capitalism.

I guess “moral clauses” aren’t SOP.
I don’t think there is standard “morality clause” allowed under the current CBA, as it’s been viewed as a slippery slope by the MLBPA. There’s talk of that changing in the next CBA, however.
I know he used to always insist on one-year
contracts. But he changed his tune for LA, didn’t he?
This is his first full FA contract, and it’s for three years, but I believe he has an opt out after each season. So he left himself an out there. There have been players contracts terminated for “morality” issues before, most notably Denny Neagle after his solicitation of a prostitute, but I believe he ultimately got paid the balance of his contract. Most voidable issues arise from behavior that negatively impacts a player’s ability to perform. Certainly that would apply to player who goes to jail or something that would prohibit his playing or traveling with the team, but immoral, even illegal behavior, is a tough one for baseball contracts, within the current CBA.
What a piece of crap.

I said a while back that the women of Ohio were thrilled when he signed in LA. No way that was a first time experience.

My introduction to barstool was when I got a call from administration telling me that someone that was sort of under my direction had set off some alarm on the web server by visiting an inappropriate site.
So then I got to have that conversation with him.
