I had forgotten about this HR Anthony tattooed.
Great clip.
I still have the program from the first Astros game I got to see in person at The Astrodome.
EA was on the cover.

Looks like ABS is coming next year:
Eric Gregg would have been electrocuted by this thing.
Believe thereâs a story about Casey Candeale and his mom in that program (she professional baseball during WW2).
Brian Williams was the starting pitcher that day and the Astros beat the Cincinnati Red Stockings 6-5:
Looking at the Box I sure donât remember Rick Parker the Astros CFer that day. And a UT guy at that.
Reinsdorf has agreed to sell the White Sox at some point in the future. I think? Is the structure of this deal basically a way of giving Ishbia the right to buy at a set price once Reinsdorf kicks the bucket?
So heâs buying the White Sox⊠on layaway?
Maybe thisâll be like that lady in France who lived to be like 130. She did a deal like this to sell her Paris apartment in like 1960 when she was 80. 50 years later, she was still living in it and the counterparty she agreed to sell to was long dead.
Jeanne Calment, a French supercentenarian, holds the record for the longest confirmed human lifespan at 122 years and 164 days. She was born on February 21, 1875, and passed away on August 4, 1997. In 1965, when she was 90 years old, Calment sold her apartment in Arles to her lawyer, AndrĂ©-François Raffray, who was half her age, through a viager agreement. Under this arrangement, Raffray agreed to pay her 2,500 francs ($500) monthly. However, Calment continued to live well beyond Raffrayâs death in 1995, and his widow was legally bound to continue paying her the monthly sum until Calmentâs passing.
Thanks. I was weak on the details, but in the ballpark.
It is
I believe it is because of this arrangement that some have claimed Calment did not live an exceptionally long life, and that her daughter assumed her identity after her death and kept collecting the payments.
The controversy was that she died in 1934 and her daughter assumed her identity at that time to avoid paying inheritance tax, all the while pretending to be her fatherâs wife and her daughterâs grandmother. The apartment was an added benefit. That accusation has been mostly debunked. Even the people who didnât like her have said âyeah, thatâs really herâ.
Braves cough up 7 runs in the top of the 9th to blow a 10-4 lead over the Dbacks. The fans were not particularly understanding about it.
Cal Raleigh gets a two-run shot in the 5th against the Orioles. With two outs and a man on third, the Oâs chose to pitch to him rather than issue an IBB, an act which the announcers were suggesting. 3-1 Hags.
Expecting a brief rain delay in Pittsburg.
Brief??
Starting at 9 per Chandler Rome
Does that mean 9 PM central, 10 PM Eastern? Goodness, I hope not. Itâs 9:38 PM here and doesnât look like theyâve even started yet. That is not a fan friendly decision for in stadium fans or four TV fans.
It is indeed 9 central. Theyâll do anything to get it in, given that the teams have no remaining games against each other.
This is all happening because someone wrote about enjoying games ending around 8pm.
