My late father, (The University of Texas at Austin ‘60), so enjoyed that notion, and one of his first TV gigs in the fine state of oklahoma, tested him so in the late ‘60s.
I miss his telling Mike S and me whilst we were growing up, that the worst 20 years of his life were the 2 years he spent living in the cultural wasteland north of Texas
I’m a fan of Bisbee Arizona’s, Old Bisbee Brewing Company. My favorite beer of theirs is the DoubleHopped IPA. But also enjoy their Salut!.
I would hardly call Oklahoma a cultural wasteland. Maybe not your Dad’s cup of tea (no pun intended) but trust me culture exists there. I can provide a list if necessary.

I have heard before that he flies commercial—mostly from people who are understandably shocked to see him flying commercial.
Count me as one of the shocked to discover that he flies commercial. I mean, seriously shocked.
