His Agent: “The bidding will begin at $50 million a year for 10 years or fuck off.”

He may be the most expensive rental ever in a few weeks. Somebody will want a top of the rotation starter and an elite bat for the Post Season, Angels should make them pay a great deal.

Glad he’s not an Astro.

Yes sir, you and me both.

Nothing makes me appreciate TK and Blummer more than watching other team’s broadcasts.

Currently watching Reds/Nats, which started at 11 EST (!!!) and holy christ the Nats broadcast team are so, so SO bad. Especially their color guy.

The Rangers broadcast team is equally as bad. I watched the ending of yesterday’s game on the Ranger’s station and it was quite satisfying to see them be so happy to take the lead in the 8th just to get gut punched in the 9th. I thought they were going to cry.

I never listened to Raymond when he was in Houston.

And I’m so grateful.

Immaculate inning:

Whenever I see the Marlins on the grid I know my score is going to suck more than usual.

I keep trying to pick players from their fire sales, but there have been so many they run together.

I got both the Marlins ones, it was the middle one that got me.

Another Yankee suspended for DV… Shocking:

@JonHeyman

Jimmy Cordero has been suspended for the rest of the season under the domestic violence policy.

Nelson Cruz was DFAed by the Padres.

Got my first immaculate this morning.

Doubt it would ever happen but Blake Snell would be great for the rest of this season.

The Padres have gone all in over the last few years…are they already giving up?

I want to say, and I imagine most of y’all have figured this out already, that Dotel is an amazingly reliable inside straight when you have no idea who has played for both teams.

I’m still blank on a Rocky and a Tiger.

I got my usual 7 of 9 today.

I whiffed confidently on my first guess, which was that Smoltz had been a Tiger.

Not my first time erring on the basis of a player having been drafted or playing in the minor leagues for a team they didn’t play in the majors for.

That Braves / Tigers trade involving Smoltz was one for the ages, I guess.

Darrell Evans was the first name that came to mind.
