I was assuming there was a bit of hyperbole involved, but nope

I don’t know. A truly talented team would have gotten a third player involved.

It will, and he saved the game.

Clearly not the link you meant to post but this is awesome nonetheless. I don’t know which is better. The cartwheel, the entire infield converging on the ball (and booting it), the dad saying “again…” like this has happened before or the first base coaches reaction. All t-ball gold.

Oh, the “again” makes it art.

Tweet from Jordan Bastian: Asked if Smyly would’ve been allowed to go the distance if the perfect game remained intact, Cubs manager David Ross joked: “I was gonna ride him harder than Yan did.”

Anyone know why tweets are no longer showing in the forum?

Is there still such a thing as “nominated”?

He very much meant to post it.

After tonight’s 18-3 loss, the A’s have a -100 run differential. It’s the worst through 21 games since 1896.

They might possibly be the worst baseball team in the history of baseball teams.

What? Are you saying that having a sponsorship patch that shares the common name of a drug that is killing over 70,000 people year is a bad thing?

MLB.com power rankings today?

Astros go 5-1 on the week against the #3 ( last week) Blue Jays and #1 Braves, outscoring them 36-16.

Brewers sweep 3 games from #15 Mariners and then lose 2 of 3 to #22 Red Sox being outscored 31-32 total.

Yankees go 1-2 vs Blue Jays and 2-1 vs #13 Angels, getting outscored 19-23.

Brewers pass both Yankees (#4) and Astros (#5) into 4th.

Yankees fall only 1 spot to #5

Astros fall 1 spot down to #6.

What?

If you’re seriously even a little bit concerned about power rankings on a website in April, especially having to do with the Yankees being overrated, it might be time for a new hobby.

Astro slow Aprils are typical, 1969’s 4-20 representing the nadir. We’re good moving forward. Even Chandler Rome in the Athletic repeated the previous aging dropoff of Abreu, albeit weakly

Not concerned.

But I like things to make sense and would hope the people who complete the surveys have some knowledge, and/or credibility.

In the end it means nothing, but I would like to hear some reasons why the people voted to move the Brewers past the Astros using last week’s games as a barometer.

Typing 250 more words after saying your concerned suggests that you are, in fact, concerned.

They’re biased power rankings from a biased website that has spent the last 7 years shitting on the Astros despite their success. Go have an Eskimo Pie and worry about something that matters, like the catcher ERA differences between Diaz and Maldy.

Why, pray tell? I never look at those things. I do not mean only occasionally; I mean N.E.V.E.R.
