Total bs.
The opener was a fad that has mostly gone away. Hardly ever happens now.
Per MLB, the hook only happens if your starter fails to go 5ā¦so Iām still confused about the purpose of this. To further punish a team whose sp got hurt or sucked?
Ok, never mind.
Sounds like a Republican stratagem. Starters probably canāt wear makeup, either.
Itās Rob Manfred. Understanding the purpose behind many of his rule changes would make your head hurt.
If only the owners had some way of limiting the length of contracts they choose to offer.
I know. They are powerless.
Thatās collusion, holmes.
MLB is staring down some serious financial issues that could get quite ugly, both between owners/players and between the ballclubs/MLB (tv rights and revenue sharing)
The RSN bubble has burst.
They donāt have to collude. Just write shorter contracts if this is really a problem.
Sure, but you have to get everyone to do itā¦now how would you go about that?
The logic is solid.
Iād forgotten about that quote, I have no idea if itās real or not, but I love it.
If itās an actual problem, the more responsible owners will do it āorganicallyā, as the kids say. Sort of like the Astros do now. And the idiots like Moreno will continue to hamstring themselves.
Rebecca: Do you believe in ghosts, Ted?
Ted Lasso: I do. But more importantly, I think they need to believe in themselves.
It isnāt real. And itās still genius.
In other news, Scherzer ejected by Phil Cuzzi after three innings coming out to take the mound to start his 4th. The background is: Scherzer was stopped and checked on his way to the mound to start the 3rd. Cuzzi put his hand in Scherzerās glove, didnāt like something in there and told Scherzer to get a different glove. Then he checked it the next inning and gave Max the boot. Retired ump tells Ron Darling he thinks they didnāt like how sticky Maxās left hand was. Mets dugout adamant that it was just rosin.
Did they confiscate the glove?
