Had to google this. Wikipedia says “12-inning limit imposed during the regular season, and a 15-inning limit for playoff games.” Is that accurate?

My understanding is the #1 team usually wins but upsets can happen. As for the tie games outside of the Wild Card stage, the games aren’t counted and are played again so technically a 5 or 7 game series could have more games.

That’s a long delay for #1, but otherwise a huge advantage. Win one seven game series, just like the pre-expansion MLB. It is great incentive to win in the regular season.

I think it’s the best option for a 10 team league.

FTX goes bankrupt. Apparently there was more than one bad decision made. Not sure how putting your logo on a group that is incompetent, arrogant and universally despised helps your brand. But it is in a sense appropriate - FTX is as good at managing cryptocurrency as MLB umpires are at calling baseball games.

CA is only 11.91% of population and FL only 6.47%. (TX 8.74%)

It’s almost as if being able to play year-round is some sort of advantage.

Year round baseball destroys arms. I hate it. What is good is not having to deal with snow and cold in the spring.

The most rambling Gammons diatribe of all time. It’s hard to see what his point is throughout but he starts by suggesting that Dusty is the architect of the Astros winning culture. Which, of course, is 100% wrong.

Here’s an excerpt where Gammons focuses on Altuve.

You can tell he wants to have good guys (Altuve/Dusty) and bad guys (those dirty cheaters).

That’s not my narrative but I appreciate his remarks on Altuve.

I tried to read it this morning. I kept having to scroll back up to make sure I was still reading the same article. Gave up maybe a third of the way through.

*I am not a fan of dusty. But I can’t be upset at the resluts. Was in NJ for a wedding. Neighbor goo friend. Haven’t seen in years a phillies fan, die hard. Still got to call him at some time, and ease his pain, and make mine more joyous.

One and only MLB appearance. First game of a DH versus the Tigers. Pitched the final 2 innings in a blowout loss.

Great find! I had no idea he ever pitched.

Odd that they let a star player do that… unless that’s an item he really, really wanted to check off his bucket list. At least he didn’t blow out his arm trying to pitch, like Jose Canseco did…

Seems like he survived the ordeal ok. He hit .406 the next year.

There’s still a problem with the baseballs, and MLB is still ignoring it:
