Baseball games involving the Astros

Is Sousa eligible? I didn’t think so, but having a lefty to face a Seager or Lowe wouldn’t be the worst idea. Who else?

Sousa is not eligible.

I liked Two Pesos better too. But they were bad. They even had to put up signs that said they were bad.

If they bring a lefty I would go with Gage but I’d guess Bielak

Online ordering for TC? Has anyone ever been sober enough to order online when they want TC?

Taqueria la Tapatia on Richmond and (Wood-something?) Was always the go-to late night joint that would pour beers into the red “ice tea” plastic glasses.

Where did yall go? There was a great one down the street…Chapultapec?

Yes, Chapultapec was good. We always went down Main and over to Las Cazuelas. I doubt that it exists anymore; this was 45 years ago.

La Jalicience on Montrose and West Gray. They had these humongous burritos for $1. Best late night drunk food. Ever.

This was a looong time ago but when I was in college in SA, the original (and only) TC on San Pedro and Hildebrand was packed out the door on the weekends starting at about 1:45 am and stayed that way until about 3:30 am.

Seems like today’s Taco Cabana really sucks compared to 90s Taco Cabana.

It was pretty good in the 80s.

We called it “La Ha”

Taco Cabana is still kicking? Damn. Spending half my childhood in SoCal, especially my summers in high school, inundated me with the Alberto’s/Alerto’s/Alberta’s/Filiberto’s/Eriberto’s late night greasy Mexican fast food places. When you’re drunk at 2am nothing hits like carne asada fries or a Cali burrito.

Me and my college buddies at Rice would go there all the time. I can still taste it… we called it “Jolly-Science” though. Not out of ignorance but it seemed appropriate for the state we were in.

Thats what we called it. It was the third stop. We’d start at the Pik-n-Pak Ice House, then across the street was Rudyard’s (when it was a tiny little hole before they expanded). If you could scrounge a buck or two in change, you ate like a king. Good times.

Chapultapec is still kicking. One of my fondest places. It provided warm enchilada and after-hours margarita solace to me after 2005 game 3. I ate there a few months ago. As good as always.

Whilst in school in Tucson at The University of Arizona in the mid-late ‘90s, there was a Two Pesos on the NW side across from campus that yours truly may or may not have frequented often after many nights of high jinx and or tomfoolery.
Man, that was great late night grub.

Ronel Blanco added to the ALCS roster, Jake Meyers dropped

Not having Jake to pinch run is a surprising move. I guess that’s why they have Singleton.

My thoughts exactly
