All six umpires need to get their heads checked.
The irony in all this is that to think there was intent, you have to have the underlying belief that what Garcia did after his HR was in some way “wrong” and therefore likely to provoke retaliation. Manfred and the umps are projecting their own feelings for intent onto the Astros who don’t share that bias.

How about this for some bullshit. The VERY next pitch after Altuve’s historic home run was aimed RIGHT at Dubon’s head. There was 10,000% more intent on that pitch from Leclerc than the one from Abreu.

Exactly and one more stat back to the Abreu situation. Expected runs in an MLB game with men on first and second with nobody out…1.5 runs.
Why on earth would we want to go down at least 3 runs (maybe more) to what, send a message to Garcia, in the 8th inning of an ALCS series tied 2-2.
Absolute lunacy and it speaks to the inherit bias of the umpires and the MLB front office against the Astros that a day later they decide to suspend Abreu for 2 games. I still can’t wrap my mind around it.
