Astros @ Rangers, April 5, 2024

There is no try.

There is only suck, or suck not.

More accurately, there is only suck.

Bats have no interest in this game either

Bielak in

…and there was much rejoicing

Don’t tell me there’s a fucking walk-up songs playlist on Apple Music

Rangers certainly aren’t giving up with 2-outs

6-0

9 of the Rangers’ 11 hits and all 6 runs have come with two outs in the inning.

Unless the offense gets back into this game, I need Bielak to get through the 7th inning, no matter the score.

Bielak just has to take one for the team tonight.

Hunter Brown is a candidate to be shifted to the bullpen when Verlander returns, but the offense needs to get it’s head out of its ass and start scoring runs consistently.

They have 12 runs total in their five losses and none tonight. It’s hard to win games scoring less than three runs a game most nights.

Plate discipline is a major problem.

Bielak can never be considered a stopper.

He’s not. He’s the Astros’ long reliever/mop up man right now.

Alex Bregman having his usual crappy April in the cleanup spot is certainly not helping matters, either.

Espada needs to move him out of that spot. He’s squandered so many potential scoring opportunities already.

He’s the guy who has to eat innings because your starter shit all over himself.

Bregman hitting in the cleanup spot is the biggest problem. This lineup construction is all sorts of fucked up.

It was annoying when they were the class of the division.

It’s fucking infuriating now.

If I were Espada, I’d go with:

Altuve
Pena
Alvarez
Tucker
Diaz
Bregman
McCormick
Abreu
Meyers

Yordan needs to be in an RBI spot and Bregman needs to be moved down until he starts hitting.

At least we have Yordan ready to bunt Altuve into scoring position when he gets on.
