I miss the days of players taking more pitches, grinding out 10 pitch AB’s against good pitchers to get to the bullpen early. More difficult than it looks but it would be kinda of cool to have one player who just destroys fringe pitches and pushes the opponents pitch count higher. Maybe I am delusional
It also doesn’t help this whole team looks exhausted.
It’s almost like playing like absolute dogshit for a full month of the season then having to play catch-up across the rest of it is a bigger grind than having a nice lead on the division going in to September so you can get your best players some rest days.
