If Jose Abreu doesn’t have any pain or soreness in his back like he did last year, I’d be surprised with the way he’s swinging. Regardless, the ship has sailed when it comes to letting Abreu play his way out of it. He can’t continue to play right now.

If he can go on the IL with a legitimate injury, great. If not, he either rides the bench for now or gets designated for assignment. Playing him right now doesn’t help him nor the Astros.

Carlos Gomez Disease is real!

Way to battle through that, Bryan Abreu, and keep the score 4-2.

Chas with a single

Aaaarrrggghhhh! Flashback!

Abreu with an infield single

Now ruled an E6

That should not be ruled an E6.

DubĂłn flies out F9, Chas tags and moves to 3B

He dropped a pretty catchable throw.

Wow, they’re calling that an error. I’m usually leading the “that’s an error, not a hit” parade. but that decision seems a little harsh.

Pressly will try to close this one out

It was a pretty catchable throw at 2B. Second baseman made a great play and should have gotten an out.

Abrams did, but with how generous scoring is in today’s game, it’s still shocking a play that required a defender to dive to knock the a ball down and quickly throw from his knees is ruled an error.

Abreu deserved a better result than an E6 that at bat.

Ryan Pressly needs to get his shit together, now.
