We didnāt have a dive team, and I would not have gone near that anyway. I swam because they needed another guy or two on the team. My sister, who was a grade ahead of me, was one of the stars on the girls team. She convinced me to do it. It was off-season from baseball, so I decided why not.

Kidding aside, I love kids getting to try different sports.
Thatās harder to do these days for many big districts.
I think kids specialize too early. Playing multiple sports is good for you as an athlete. And itās good for the soul too.
