Astros @ Mariners, Cinco de Mayo, 2023

This guy is also obviously a Seahawks fan, but, in the grand Panamanian tradition, he has several other favorite teams in every sport, and his other favorite NFL team is the Vikings. I mean, like, he supports them both equally somehow.

Man, maybe pick teams in different conferences or something, I don’t know.

Do you seek to maintain your weekday schedule on weekends, or do you allow yourself to sleep in until 5:00 or maybe even 5:30?

I can get really lazy some weekends. I may even sleep until 7:00 or even sunrise. But then I’ve pretty much wasted the whole day.

I’ve always said that.

Come for the post, stay for the Mariner whining in the comments.

We didn’t get a call on the edge, so it was the ump’s fault our guy hung a slider belt high on the next pitch.

“astros fans are the absolute scum of baseball fandom”

I love it.

Mariners Twitter is absolute garbage, much like the rest of their fan base.

Give em a break.

They just found out who their real dad is.

A tour guide yesterday said the “Seattle Way” is to take the dumbest idea and stick with it… “for example, the Mariners”

Apropos of this, a big thanks to whomever suggested the underground tour. It was fantastic.

It is indeed cool. Hopefully MM Jr enjoyed it too.

I love drinking Greyhounds, more so the Salty Dog variant, particularly during summer.

ETA: I’m also quite fond of the Italian Greyhound, although in understand how some folks might find the combination of Campari and grapefruit too bitter.

What’s your favorite cocktail of Campari and anything?

I’d have to say The Third Man:

  • 1½ oz. bourbon (I love Buffalo Trace)
  • 1½ oz. grapefruit juice
  • ¾ oz. lemon juice
  • ¾ oz. Campari
  • ½ oz. simple syrup

Mix and shake well, then pour into a rocks glass, preferably with a king cube.

@HudsonHawk can attest to its benefits.

Yep, that’s a great one I didn’t think of.

I just spent 3 hours on the phone with Verizon customer service, I needed something stronger than beer. All of it was to change a password on my mother’s voicemail.

Oh man, I reckon you might’ve needed straight bourbon to deal with that hell.

Not starting that early today, but I sure thought about it…but she did go to the corner store and get a 12pack for me, “I can’t deal with these people without a beer” she heard me say randomly out loud…and then she just left and came back with the necessities. That’s a good mom.

I feel @MusicMan’s issues. I’m not trying to get home, I’m just trying to fix an old lady’s phone.
