Came across this on the internets and thought it was interesting to share. It doesn’t have the current unis, but it’s a neat look at the Astros’ uni history.
Those mud 'n blood unis after the move from The Dome to The Juice Box were quite lackluster, imho.
Never minded the navy and gold from '94-'99, but navy and orange and of course, the tequila sunrise/rainbows, are most assuredly the Houston Astros look.

With the Pahrump whorehouse dart team shirt on underneath I would hope.

The original shooting stars are easily one of the top five, dare I say top three, best looking uniforms in the history of baseball. They are there, in house, ready to shine….and the Astros simply refuse to to let them. It’s a shame, really.
I feel exactly the same way. They require no tweaking, no change to caps, and they are top 3 ML uniforms of all time. I just don’t understand it.

They should wear the shooting star about 5-8xs during a season. Think of the sales they would garner from younger folk that aren’t familiar with them.

I think it was the ‘19 season where the good guys wore all their old unis over various weekends throughout the season.
That needs to be reimplemented post haste.

51 years ago today, both Jose Cruz and Enos Cabell made their Astros debuts in a 6-2 opening day win over the Braves.
And they are still ( or back) with the organization today.
FWIW:
Cabell ( LF) 2-5 with a SB
Cruz ( RF) 3-4 with a SB and 3 run HR off Phil Niekro
