Astros at Yankees, 6/26

Again

Loading the bases would be a hell of a spot to put a rookie in.

Of course, so is facing Judge with the fake on the line.

Poor Seth had to face Jugde with 2 runners he didn’t even put there - the ghost and IBB

Better to walk him, imo. Force everywhere. Cannot pay any attention to what year he is.

Eh.

Not gonna bash the strategy. I doubt they told him to groove one.

2 pop ups in the top half were devastating.

Very good series. Astros should gain a lot of confidence from it.

My takeaway is 2 heavyweights traded haymakers.

Yep. We should have scored more than one. I would rather pitch to anyone but Judge there.

Let’s win Thursday! Big matchup with Cole v. Verlander. Who else will be there?

About 50 other players?

Yes, silly, but what about any of you?

All-in-all, I preferred yesterday’s game.

No, my next tickets are on the 4th

Runners on 2nd and 3rd, 3-4-5 hitters up, and no runs score. You can’t be surprised if you lose after that.

Yep. The ballgame was over there.

It didn’t affect anything but why not leave Alvarez in instead of Diaz in LF?

Yeah. I didn’t really understand that, either. Probably just Dusty sticking to his day-off philosophy as much as possible.

He didn’t start because of a sore hand.

2 run lead, sore hand, Diaz is solid defensively.

That’s the mindset I’m guessing.

Also, once Brantley had to come out of the game, why not Alvarez over JJ at DH? Would have given Yordan a second at bat in a crucial spot. Astros are off tomorrow and don’t even have to leave the city.

Ok well, I hadn’t read about the sore hand as a reason for the day off. Just figured it was typical Dusty management.

You forgot #2 who struck out on a ball for out 1. #3 walked, then #s 4 and 5 popped up. There’s your ball game.
