Astros at Royals 4/11

I very much considered it.

Tayler Scott has been pretty good outside of that second NYY game.

couple o’ ducks for Dubie…

and he plates one with a single. 9-2 KC

(yes, you read that right: a hit w/ RISP)

Tuve walks to juice em for Yordan… who gets nothing close, and walks to make it 9-3 KC.

I would’ve just politely told him to head down to first.

Why would you throw to him with the slop factory behind him with RISP?

Hell if I know, but maybe they were trying to buy time for the next RP they just brought in.

On cue, Tucker flies out to end the inning.

Probably to give more time to warm up Zerpa.

Montero…like a lighter to a can of hairspray.

Stealing 2nd up by 6 might be in the gray area of the unwritten rules.

Only saving grace (for me) is that I’m at the winery and can’t watch the game or follow along too closely. Have to monthly inventory finished for the Feds, which sounds a helluva lot better than whatever game of shitball the Astros invented and decided to play today.

The good news is that they’re coming home after today, where they should obviously play better.

I don’t usually like to question the GM and management on decisions they make but it was painfully obvious that this team needed starting pitching help going in to the season. It’s hard to compete when you are down 9 runs after 1.

Since July 1, 2023, Brown has a 7.90 ERA.

Jake PH for Yordan…Ks. Perfect.

Jose is not the only Abreu who has been fucking trash this season.

We’re gonna need a bigger brewery.

Kessinger in to pitch and retires the side in order, proving that you can have success grooving mid-70’s in the zone. Mid-80’s, not so much.

Also, Gamecast registered every pitch as a slider. I guess he fooled the algo.

Actually every pitch was a change-up.
Can it be called a change-up if that’s all you throw?

Talk to the bots, man. They’re in charge.
