Astros at Royals 4/11

Hunter made history!

First pitcher in MLB history to give up 11 hits in less than 1 inning pitched

I had the same experience as das with this one. Did a couple chores, came back, what the fuck?

But yes. Watching it is always worse. I speak from experience as an attendee of The Jason Jennings Game.

What the literal fuck!!! I’m working and check the score and see this??? This team is broken in lots of ways right now. Yes, it is early, but this doesn’t have a good feel to it.

I’m thinking Martinez may get another crack at the starting rotation.

Seth Martinez is doing yeoman’s work today like he did on Monday.

At a minimum, a multi-inning opener. Brown cannot make his next turn in the rotation and should go to Sugar Land to try and fix his mechanics.

What is with Espada and the slow hook? That ā€œrecordā€ is on him. It’s been painful to watch his struggling pitchers twist in the wind like that three times in the first 14 games…

Maybe someone should tell him that mid-80s in the dead center of the zone is a less-than-ideal strategy.

Because the bullpen threw six innings last night and 8.2 innings on Monday. They needed Brown to give them innings, even if his line sucked.

Hey! there’s one back. We’re on a roll.

I’d say they should stretch him out but his relief work is already doing that

I would be happy to do so, for free. But, that’s Josh Miller’s job.

He’s basically a de facto opener at this point.

I don’t see any pbp (probably for good reason), but After 4, its 9-1 KC. Yainer hit a 437ft bomb to center in T4 to plate the one run.

Thank you, Writer of Wrongs, I can only hope for a similar outcome.

Normally I would agree with you, but what is he supposed to do? The pen had thrown 18 innings in the last 3 days and no day off until next Thursday. He had to try and get at least a few innings from Brown today.
