Heartbreaking? Good.

Talk to some of them and itā€™ll dissuade of notions of sympathy you may feel.

I have no sympathy for Ranger fans. They can all suck on a rotten lemon.

My animosity towards the Rangers began with interleague play. It grows every day.

I went from 0-100, not caring about them to hating them with the white hot fury of 1000 suns

Bud Selig aroused by this statement.

When did you actually notice the Rangers?

200? 201? When they signed Nolan?

Iā€™m not sure anything can arouse that guyā€™s limp dick.

Very much this

Pfizer and the Sacklers are on itā€¦just give it time, but not more than 4 hours

Thatā€™s probably the root of my apathy. As best I can recall, I have never met a Rangers fan IRL and Iā€™m not even sure Iā€™ve ever interacted with one online. They are literally an unknown unknown to me. I thought much of the funny ā€œrivalryā€ talk here was of the same comedic, ridiculous style as the fish-slinging Mariners smack.

Is this the first time the Astros and Rangers have been competitive at the same time since the Astros moved to the AL (or ever)? I wouldnā€™t call it a rivalry so much as their fans are around, a lot more of them jumped on the bandwagon in 2010 and 2011 when the Astros were abysmal, and theyā€™re a bunch of annoying fake losers.

That would be 2015.

Astros led the division for much of the year then faded into the wc as Arlington won the division.

My cousin and his friends from Ft Worth all grew up Rangers fans, and I canā€™t blame them for that. The do very much like the Astros players even if they donā€™t really root for the team

They were told a few years ago that that sentiment will not be reciprocated.

I have lived among them since I was 12(summer 2004). When I first moved here, there seemed to be a close to 50/50 split, at least in the areas that my family frequented. That started to change around 2008 when the Astros started going down and the Rangers up, many people that I knew to be Astros fans changed sides and then began to talk shit about the Astros by 2011. I lost any respect that I could have had for ā€œRanger fansā€ in that time.

2015 was fun, even with the shit talk about the Rangers coming back and winning the division. 2016 was miserable, the Astros would have made the postseason if they played .500 vs the Rangers but 4-15 against them was brutal for me. Then comes 17 and Harvey, the organization earned even more hatred from me with the shit they pulled. The ā€œfansā€ would argue with me, they offered to give the Astros the revenue from the Astros ā€œhome games at Globe Life,ā€ fuck off with that. The Rangers saw it was an opportunity to get 3 extra home games in what they thought could be way back into the division race. Thatā€™s all it was and fuck them forever for it. I enjoyed the hell out of being in that stadium as the Astros spanked them when that series in mid September came around.

This is why I wish nothing but suffering for that team, that fake traitorous ā€œfanbaseā€ and anyone associated with that dogshit franchise.

This is the unforgivable sin. Whoever made that decision ought to go to his grave regretting it every day.

Plus Josh Hamilton killed a firefighter in front of the guyā€™s young son.

Josh Hamilton is a piece of shit and heā€™s still venerated here.

I canā€™t hold that against him though. That was a freak occurrence.

Editā€¦I read that as hated. Heā€™s hated here. Immensely.

I remember this now. Low class stuff, for sure. Of course, when I think of '17, thatā€™s not what springs to mind. Ha.
