Winning tomorrow is also crucial.

Iā€™m hoping thatā€™s a Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid callout.

Another gritty win for a gritty team. I donā€™t know how you keep running Javier out there every five days right now, though. Until he shows consistent command of his fastball and slider, heā€™s a liability. And thatā€™s been his big issue since June.

This team is anything but gritty. They occasionally win gritty games, but mostly theyā€™re manage l marshmallow soft.

A gritty win for a fluffy team?

Oreo crusted marshmallows?

I think Oreos by nature are fluff disguised in grit.

I hope the Astros get out of town tomorrow with a series win, but Iā€™m pretty happy to see the Marlins relevant again. The Marlins and the Orioles - I think the league is considerably better when those two teams are good.

I do not have any feelings one way or the other about the Marlins, but I root for the Orioles to be good again.

Itā€™s considerably more enjoyable when the Yankees are in the cellar, thatā€™s for sure.

A Smore perhaps?

Weā€™re heading for only the second time in the WC era that both NYY and BOS miss the postseason, I believe

How can Boone possibly survive that?

I thought he was a goner when he got swept in the ALCS last year. Has to be gone this time.

One would think.

Yankees just closed out another loss to Atlanta to fall to 60-60, and the MLB Network crew said that this is the latest in the year that the Yankees have been at or below .500 since ā€˜95. Which is wonderful, but also a testament to their consistent (and annoying) relevance.

Thoughts and prayers to Cole and his dream team.

Not even 2019 Cole could have dragged the 2023 Yankees to the wild card

Iā€™m pretty much out of the ā€œwell thereā€™s no way (x) will survive (y)ā€ business. Doesnā€™t seem to apply anywhere any more.

I am loving his joining the Yankees not meaning a fucking thing.
