Yasssss
WOOOOOHOOOOOO
Tio Yordan!
5-3
A drive into the gap is my favorite kind of hit.
There’s something super exciting about a runner on first and a gapper happening.
Off the bat I thought “that ought to score two”…but it kept going
No reason to leave a runner in scoring position
Bigger Papi?
Totally. I love hit and runs and squeezes too, of course, but a gapper with guys on base is about as good as it gets.
Diaz walks.
A 3-run double in the gap is like an inning-ending play at the plate on defense.
WTF Diaz?
Lucky.
Forgot the outs
Still applies
I always have been partial to the squeeze play, and I learned its effectiveness in PONY League. Several of my HS teams used it to good effect, but in one very important game, we popped up into a double play. Did not deter me, though.
That didn’t work.
/facepalm
Diaz?
