Astros @ A's, September 26, 2020

Maybe both won’t.

What a shitty sports weekend. Texans suck, Astros swept in most important series of the year…Cougars win is my only comfort.

This is just 2021 Houston Astros baseball.

They’ll win the division by mid week.

Which will have been a week longer than it should have been.

Let’s hope the A’s win that series, preferably 2 games to 1.

That’s probably their best chance. This level of performance against the Rays is going to be ugly, even if the race for best record is over.

Hey, Horns won, and today is my bday. Too much defeatist bitching on here.

I’ll accept some responsibility. I haven’t been posting much in the GZ lately and it’s obvious that the place lacks for my perennial optimism and uplifting outlook.

HBD, BTW

Seriously Jim?! Why do you care? I doubt anyone else does. I don’t post earlier sometimes because I’m busy with fam or friends, or whatever reason. But feel free to poll everyone and if the consensus that my joining the bitchfest, ALREADY IN PROGRESS, is a problem, I will stand down.

Happy Birthday!

It will be interesting to see how the Rays approach this series. Their magic number for AL first seed is 1 and they still have an outside chance of catching the Giants for overall first seed.

Maybe this year. I am closer to 80 than I am to 70, and that is a sobering thought.

Oh, boo fucking hoo. I doubt anyone gives a damn but me. I like you a lot but get tired of your bitching. That’s all.

My dad celebrated his 80th a few weeks ago. My sister insisted that we have 80 candles and they all be lit. Was all we could do to get them lit before they burned down, and the cake looked like blowtorch. But we got them all lit. Not sure we’d have had room for 81 though.

HBD to Mr. Hawk!

I’m sure he’d say “thank you”. He taught me all I know about baseball. Someday I hope to get to his level.

He taught you well. My dad was my best pitching coach, and he was the primary reason I love baseball.
