I’m quite glad they will miss Tampa and the Orioles for now. I would much rather see them beat up on each other and play the winner.

Texas Monthly had a superb article after the Astros dismembered the asshats in south oklahoma/arlington stating that the road to October still has to go through Houston and that the Astros were still the defending WS Champions for a reason.
I need to go back and reread it.
Let’s not forget that a series with TB would now have home field advantage as well.

This couldn’t have worked out any better for the Astros. They get to properly set their starting pitching rotation for the ALDS and avoid having to go to Tampa Bay.
After getting swept by the Royals at home last weekend, it was sure nice to see them step up with a 5-1 road trip to Seattle and Arizona to give them this chance.
