Musing over the Sep schedule/results for the Astros (8 - 13, ALL Thursdays off) and Mariners (8 - 14, 2nd & 3rd Thursdays off) as they prepare for three head-to-head games @ Seattle.

Maybe there was no question about who had the better pitcher last night.
Verlander was on his game, the lower 3rd of the order set the table in the 2nd, while Alvarez & Tuck came through.

Toronto SO by Yanks 0-2; Rangers fall to Angels 9-3.
Correa (hitting .230) is going on IL (hamstring).
If the Astros lose tonight, they are eliminated from the division with a Rangers win.
Part of me wants a season-ending five-game losing streak and a managerial retirement ceremony.
Next year is another year.
