I’ve probably told this story, but during Ike I was without power for 21 days. We found out later that CenterPoint had repaired all the lines, left thinking they were done after 14 days. But they forgot to throw the breaker switch on the line. It was a week before someone called and they said “oh shit, sorry about that.” We went an extra 7 days without power l because they forgot to flip the switch when they were done.
