I loves me some paella.

Me too. I miss my mom’s, but there is a Spanish restaurant in Old Town Spring we’re hitting up tomorrow. Been there for tapa, but first time for paella, which they only do Saturdays 11-3. Looking forward to it.

When my buddy Dan (RIP) and I went to ST in Florida, I would buy him seafood paella for his bday at Columbia Restaurant.

That was my mom’s favorite restaurant.

Now, I’m hungry and jealous of you. Enjoy the paella.

Great place. We went to the one in Tampa, and there also was one in Kissimmee/Orlando.

Didn’t know about the one in Kissimmee, but I guess they have several now. the one in Ybor City is legendary.

Yep, Tampa was the first one we went to. There also was one in a development somewhere on the road to Orlando. That one has been there a long time. Dan and I did not go back to Florida after Katrina, and we ate there at least twice going to Florida every other year.

This helps explain 27 Ks in last two starts:

12 of his 14 strike 3 pitches were in the strike zone.
One of the two that wasn’t was 3.3" outside the zone and was called for a strike. That was nice of Mr. Ump.

The Astros are the last team that should guilty about getting a favorable strike call. They’ve been screwed at every turn all year.

He left out the part about Joe Madden being the best baseball manager ever. Oh, that’s right he was terminated earlier this year.

The halos are the LA Clippers of beisbol in SoCal, and after living there among their dimwitted fan base for a few years and hearing how Trout and Shohei were the greatest players EVER, I derive much joy in seeing them tank.

Thoughts and prayers.

ETA- they’re still not as bad as the hated dojer backers who are, in essence, the yanks fans of the west.

Fuck the dojers.

MM said it first, but if Javier can be consistently good, and I’ll add Framber too, combined with age-defying JV, this team will be tough in the playoffs.

The pen has been pretty salty too.

And it looks like they will have a solid 1-8 lineup when Brantley returns.

I wouldn’t go that far

Think of the experience last October. Literally piecing together bullpen games in crucial playoff games. And how different it would be to roll in with a solid core of starters and a rotation plan for a playoff series. Night and day.
