ALDS Game 3 Astros at Twins

They got me to work the other day- always grateful for the jump seat/hospitality from AA!

Cristian Javier of the Astros has now allowed 1 hit or fewer in each of his first 3 career postseason starts. No other pitcher in MLB history has had 3 such starts over his entire postseason career (consecutive or not).

One of these is not like the others.

Official account: “Without a shadow of doubt”

You’re right. One was in the World Series

Cristian Javier on the fans helping him with pitch clock countdown: “I did notice it and when I did I used it in my favor. At that point I stopped paying attention to the clock because they were counting and just paid attention to the catcher.” – McTaggart

I was at a stop on Brenda’s Friends and Family Tour for a small celebration of her sister’s bday. I could only follow the scores on my phone. Thank goodness for GZ, and I just finished reading while having bfast.

My favorite part, of course, is Mr. Gonna Be Shitcanned Soon having two homers and 5 RBI, which makes 96. I love you Chuck, and I consider you a great friend, but you were wrong about him.

I like the one attached to the video of Abreu’s 1st HR: “Cloudy with a chance of meatballs.”

Turned out that forecast was pretty accurate.

Somebody else mentioned it during the game, but Gray was lucky to be pitching during the difficult shadow period. He threw a LOT of very hittable pitches, and his results actually could have been much worse.

Aren’t you glad they signed Abreu instead of Rizzo. I remember some were disappointed we didn’t sign Rizzo.

I was excited to get Abreu. I had hoped for years the Astros would trade for him, but we had Yuli who I liked tremendously.
